What We Do
- SSC provides a basic survival day course (6-8 hours) and an extended survival course (overnight 24hr). During the courses you will be instructed on common survival techniques that can be used in various situations. We use modern methods such as flint strikers, matches, lighters, knives, hand axe etc. during the course(s). These course(s) are designed for beginner, everyday people, or anyone looking to sharpen their skills with basic survival methods utilizing common outdoor/survival equipment.

Land Navigation
Do you know how to use a map and compass? Can you read and understand topographical maps? Our basic Land Navigation course will give you the tools and knowledge in understanding topo maps, using a compass, finding key terrain, map datum, map scales, contour lines, measuring distance and pace count.

20+ years in Air Force Special Warfare, numerous U.S. Military schools: Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) school, Joint Terminal Attack Controller-JTAC (Instructor and Evaluator), US Army Airborne School, Paratrooper Jumpmaster, Rappel Master, US Army Air Assault School, Survival Evasion Resistance and Escape (S.E.R.E), Water Survival, Evasion after Capture (ECAC), LINE hand-to-hand Combatives, Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), and Combat Life Saver (CLS). Combat veteran with three tours of duty across multiple austere environments. I am an avid outdoorsman that enjoys deer hunting, fishing, and coaching my two boys recreational baseball/football teams.
